I don't think they should part ways with Maddon just yet. Yes, he makes some serious head-scratching in-game decisions, but the Cubs also won a flipping WS just two years ago. And I'm not confident that the Cubs can hire a guy that will be any better. I'd rather not see some old school guy like Girardi lead this team and possibly change the culture inside the clubhouse. I'm not up on who is actually available, but I feel like the Cubs could do a lot worse than Crazy ass Joe. These guys obviously like and believe in their manager. This is a good thing in my opinion. I'm sick as horsefeathers of Chili ball though. The stats posted the other day speak volumes. Most teams have better success when he leaves. What was Mallee's problem again?

The feast or famine nature of the offense made this season tough to watch. You'd think I'd be happy with 95 wins, Javy going ballistic, and the staff pitching as well as they did towards the end of the season. But, the decrease in dongs and the lack of driving in runs seemed to ruin it all.

This loss hurts. It was made even worse with Joe's comment about saving Wade for the save. I truly thought we were beyond that type of thinking with Theo/Maddon at the helm. There are very few good in-game managers (maybe just Francona?), and Joe has proven he's definitely not one of them. I love all the zen stuff and his ability to try and get the team loose, but the strategy-side of the game seems to be truly lacking. I'm glad good Carl showed up tonight. He's a game changer when he's throwing strikes and staying ahead of hitters. One more question...where the horsefeathers is Ian Happ? Get his arse in there.

That game was grueling. Is it only Cubs fans that feel like a 2-run lead is a 5-run deficit? That's how I felt innings 7-9. I could feel my heart pounding. I will not sleep tonight, but I don't give a flying horsefeathers. Bring on the Dodgers. 3 straight years in the NLC. That's just amazing to think about right now. it's easy to get upset and fired up, but when you think about the winning we've seen between 2015-2017, it's hard not to smile. Also, I'm super happy to see both Dusty and Murphy go down. They're turds.

Finding solid MLB broadcasters must be close to impossible. Both networks are painful to listen to, and the guys doing the Reds here in Cincy are absolute crap. It makes me appreciate Len and JD that much more. Also, I think I could have gotten to that ball faster than Jay and I'm having knee surgery in a month.

After Sherzer was scratched for game 2, I was expecting a split in DC. Being up 2-0 would be glorious, but I'm feeling OK that we split on the road. It's a shame Wilson hasn't been the player the Cubs thought they were getting. That spot against Murphy is exactly why they traded for him. And Edwards HAS to stay ahead of hitters to be successful. His failures almost always happen when he starts missing the zone and gets behind. Unfortunately, he picked the worst horsefeathers time to lose it with Harper at the plate. I'm definitely bummed about tonight's swift kick in the pills, but it's hard to get REALLY upset about it anymore. I saw the Cubs win a flipping WS last November. THE CUBS WON A WORLD SERIES AND I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES AND THEN I CRIED FOR 24 HOURS STRAIGHT. Nobody can take that away. Not even the beautiful Bryce Harper can take that away. Let's get the next two and then hit some dongs off of Kershaw again.

This...all day. A lot of it has to do with age, but I don't get as fired up about it as I used to. Plus, last year was beyond amazing and because of it I can never truly be mad or sad about the Cubs again. Sure, I want them to win every day and I was pissed about the Brewers series, but not for long. It was more like "sh*t...that sucked. I'll go toss with my son."

Same. I think I'm more emotional today than I was last night. The reality is finally hitting me. My son tried so hard to stay up and watch it with me, but his 8 year-old body just couldn't keep up. He asked Alexa this morning who won the game, screamed his head off, and then played "Go Cubs Go" on repeat. He's 8 and his view of the Cubs is that they are World Series champs. It will be years before he realizes just how lucky he is.

Amazing team filled with a bunch of great dudes (except Chapman). So happy for them, for us, and for Chicago. Best cry I've had in a long time.

The inconsistent zone screwed with everyone tonight, but I think it hurts a patient team like the Cubs even more. Guys like Bryant know the zone so horsefeathers well, and it was just all over the place tonight. Not checking at 1B for the check swing strike on Javy was inexcusable. There is absolutely no reason to make that call ever...especially in a World Series game. Let's get 'em tomorrow and Sunday.

Are they still doing the random drawing for people that completed the postseason opportunity forms? I know it's a long shot, but I think that's my only chance. I love the Cubs, but I can't justify spending $5K on tickets. I got keeeeeiiiiids.

Heading up on Friday with my 8 year-old in tow from Cincinnati. Hotel is booked, just need to score tickets to at least one game. What an emotional night. Can't wait to see them win 4 more. Thanks to all that make this board so horsefeathers amazing.
