I know many of us have these type of stories but I like that we can all share them knowing that each of us, in our own way, has stuck with this team throughout the good and the bad and that each of us can relate to the stories we share. Lastly, I just want to again thank Tim and everyone else who works to keep this place running. It's EASILY the least terrible faction of Cubs fans on the internet... by miles and miles... and it's been my home for all things Cubs since 2003.

No real point to this post...just want to be part of the thread. Walked up and down Clark Street yesterday before the game, taking everything in. Absolutely unreal scene. Ended up at Nisei Lounge, which was strangely perfect (despite it being about 95 degrees in there). Wanted to follow along in here, but the internet was totally overloaded. Drank way too many Old Styles, and then got soaked in them afterwards.

 

Couldn't have scripted a better game to show the talent of this team. Dex starting it, Kyle finally showing what a stud he is, Addy piling on, and then some insurance dongs to put it away. All with great defense throughout. Can't help thinking we just took down the clear second best team in baseball. Has been an amazing couple weeks (slash years)...but this next week is going to be over the top.
