50% of teams tied 2-2 go on to win the series, axiomatically

15% of teams down 1-3 have gone on to win their series

So tonight is kinda big.

75% of teams who lose Game 3, lose the series

That's intentionally leaving out a lot of important information.

no kershaw in game 5 feels like a big break to me

It's actually really wise by Roberts, isn't it? Assuming he can only start once more this series, you'd rather him start on full rest than not. And you're not worried about the series not going to his next game because it has to go minimum 6 games if you're the Dodgers and losing.

it means he's likely not a relief option in game 7

I see how my tv box comment could be seen as me interacting with technology like my grandma, who pushes her touch screen on her phone really hard to try and make it do what she wants.

But it isn't the main xfinity box in the house, it's a secondary one. And it hadn't been working, as I discovered today it was due to a faulty box on the second tv. Got a new one, and voila, the tv box works now.

I'll be drinking Victory Golden Monkey tonight. Not only is it a delicious, delicious 9.5 ABV belgian style tripel, but it's called Golden Monkey. And brewed by Victory. I'm pulling out all the stops, boys. Cubs 154, Dodgers negative 3.

Since this forum turns to sludge when the postseason games are in session and it takes me forever ot get on here and browse/post, I'll likely not be here for the game.

So I just want to say: You guys are awesome, we got this, Go Cubs!

Sure, but if I'm the Dodgers I'd rather him start his game on full strength than potentially screwing him up on the off chance it goes 7 and he is even needed for high leverage innings there.

I'm not ready for this season to be over. This season has been too amazing to end the same way the last 3 post seasons did. The Cubs owe it to all that is beautiful and magical about baseball to fix this thing and go to Cleveland.

Don't let the kid build up any confidence. He's going to be wild, and he's on a tight pitch count. We're the most patient team in the league...wait him out, put him in tough spots, chase him early. Outside of Jensen, there isn't much back there.

Let's go.
