Surely that is statistically significant.

It is when you understand exactly how rare it is for Heyward to homer.

If Heyward homers off him again, he'll petition to have Urias designated all-time pitcher.

If Heyward homers tonight, I'll kiss my cat's butt

Lackey is going to have the game of his life, BOOK IT

This could mean that he pitches the worst game of his life. Probably best to be more specific.

LOL yep I was thinking, I hope that's not in the Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times" sense!

The CUBS are 1-1 this postseason when I get so sick of the announcers that I mute the TV and turn into an insufferable bastard and bitch relentlessly about everyone's face.

Go CUBS !!

Kershaw probably will still come out of the pen one time this series

Tonight?

This is a great point. I could see him throwing an inning tonight to bridge to Jansen and call it his side day.

I wouldn't recommend this for LA but I could see it.

The score just said Kershaw is throwing a full bullpen session currently which pretty much eliminates any chance he throws tonight or tomorrow/backing up Roberts. Fwiw

Actually kind of surprised by this. I get the extra rest, but he's still spending less innings on the mound this way if the series goes 7. Pretty sure the Dodgers are confident there won't be a G7, and/or they're so confident in Hill after last night that they're banking on not needing Kershaw out of the pen anymore.

Last night was the first time this postseason it really got to me. Brutally awful. Joe Buck is the worst.

no kershaw in game 5 feels like a big break to me

It's definitely a break, but one that can only really be taken advantage if the Cubs take care of business tonight.

It would also mean if he pitches in Game 6 and the Dodgers win this series, he'd couldn't pitch Game 1 and if they start him in Game 2 it would be on short rest.

I finally got my tv box to work

I can't help but read this as an old man would say "This here telephone machine ain't working".

I'm sticking with streaming audio unless or until the guys get three wins out of this series first. Then it'll be Sling TV time.

Nah I don't think that's the case. This is the team that pitched Jansen 2 innings last night with a 4-6 run lead. They aren't taking any risks.

not really. coming back from 3-1 isn't all that uncommon

It's actually really wise by Roberts, isn't it? Assuming he can only start once more this series, you'd rather him start on full rest than not. And you're not worried about the series not going to his next game because it has to go minimum 6 games if you're the Dodgers and losing.
