So why exactly are they phasing out the A's revenue sharing?

 

I had read that due to market size they were never supposed to receive revenue sharing, but they were allowed to participate because of their stadium mess. If they are removing them from the revenue sharing pool, they probably have a plan for a new ballpark.

Huh, so not a lot changed but some good changes.

 

I, an actual child, like that the season will start earlier because that means I don't have to wait so long for the season, even if it means the playing conditions in late March/earl April are fraught.

They better do a better job scheduling early in the year with maximizing games in domed or southern/western stadiums. Even if it means teams like us and the Twins not getting the first home game for ~2 weeks.

I believe their majority owner is the 4th richest owner in baseball as well. But yes, that's what I also read about was to help them stay afloat while they were trying to find themselves a new stadium.

 

So either they finally got a plan to get a new stadium, or they don't and they may possibly relocate.
