The shortest series always concerned me the most, regardless of opponent. Would've been nice to end it then and there given the opportunity. Do it tonight.

Moore seems like a guy that they can work the count against and eventually get to. He walks about 4 per 9 innings. He, like Lackey, hasn't pitched in a while. He did close the season with some good starts, but this is a guy a patient Cubs lineup should be able to exploit. I would think there is a decent chance of seeing Samardzija at some point tonight as well.

 

The pitcher dongs have been great, but it's time for the rest of the offense to produce some runs. Last night was fun, it really was. But, hopefully this series doesn't go any further.

I was lucky enough to attend last night's game. You can't ask for more in a baseball game (other than the obvious), and Bryant's homer is hands down the best moment I have witnessed in a baseball game.

 

We weren't going to win 11 in a row in the playoffs. This series ends tonight.

The really awkward guy at work noticed I was sleepy and quiet. He comes back from his first break and says, "the Cubs still have 2 more chances, it'll be fine."

 

The guy knows nothing about sports really but figured out what made me tired and tried to cheer me up. It's the effort that counts.

Yes he's gotta start. Will be interesting to see what Maddon does with the OF again. Moore is a lefty but he doesn't have extreme L/R splits for his career so I wouldn't be surprised to see Heyward back in there.
