He's not likely to turn Illinois into a blue blood that runs roughshod over the Big 10, but that's not likely for any hire you can make, except at about 10 or so schools.

Doesn't change the direction of your point, but OSU was also extremely slow tempo in 2015-16. Tempo adjusted offense they went from 153rd to 1st this year w/ Underwood. Dude knows his offense.

pretty excited about underwood. didn't know much about him when I saw the news, but love everything I've read about him. I'm glad that ok st - michigan game happened on my lunch break yesterday so I got a chance to see his offense in action.
