nothing would please me greater than the Cardinals pull off the wild card, win the wild card game in some horsefeathers fluke way they tend to do, and then just get their faces donged off by the Cubs in the NLDS again

not making the playoffs in a heartbreaking fashion would be better for me

Very torn on whether them not making the playoffs or the Cubs ripping their faces off is the better scenario. I really want to beat the horsefeathers out of the Mets, but they'll claim they were not at 100%.....nevermind the fact that they will never be 100% because pitchers.

I don't effing care as long as the cubs win.

are the bullpens going under the bleachers this offseason?

that was the last word...but then that was originally the word going into this year too

yeah, they were saying that if the cubs were honest they probably would say they wouldn't want to play the cards. i'd be happy to play them. their rotation isn't very strong and their defense is abysmal.

I want to face them so bad. If we lose, I don't give a damn who it is to, its gonna suck really bad either way. The Cards are clearly the worst team of the 3 possibilities and they are far worse than us. The only pitcher they have that scares me is a mental midget that they'll have to burn in the WC game. Its as close to a bye week as you can get in the MLB playoffs.

Cards, Mets, Giants would be my order of preference. Giants are the only team that would scare me.

I fear if the Giants win the Wild Card, sometime during the trip there, LaStella might feel so at home he'll go AWOL again

There were unconfirmed rumors that the bullpen move would be delayed one more season, but I believe the Cubs denied those rumors. So at this point, I don't think we know.

One more season after it was already delayed to 2017?

yeah i think the current mets are kind of a huge mess and if they have to burn Thor they're a much inferior team.

it doesn't matter much (heck the embarrassing Brewers just beat us 3 out of 4) and I have sworn a sacred vow to not root for any particular playoff match up

I've started to get re-concerned for the Mets because their offense is really heating up a la last year. The actual talent is rather meh but you've always got to be concerned with the hot team in October.

In reality though like you said none of this matters. The Cubs are going to get who they are going to get, and they will be much better than that team.

Yes, but I don't know whether there was anything to that rumor.

you need to stop thinking hot streaks are a thing and that'll help a lot with this (and the weird stuff you like to post)
