Super Cubs toyed with the Brewers for 6 innings before crushing them like a bug. The crushing continues in game two as the Super Cubs send Jason Hammel to the mound.

He'll be going against this bum:

And to put context to these pictures, that's Peralta looking to the sky why he silently wonders how he's ever going to get out our lineup of dongmasters. Meanwhile Hammel is letting the Brewers and everyone else know that "Yeah, I AM all THAT and a bag of chips" as he dominates their weak lineup once again.

Cubs roll to another RD game... 8-2 as Rizzo, Bryant and Heyward all hit dongs.

Go Cubs!!!

Seems like Russell gets days off quite often.

He has lately, and I wonder if he's dealing with some kind of nagging small injury? Or if Joe just wants to get Baez some SS time.

Per Maddon's radio show on 670, Russell and Bryant are resting today

Not to second guess Joe, but it's about time he rested Bryant. I wouldn't mind seeing him out of the line up tomorrow as well, then the off day on Thursday, that would give him a nice 3 day rest.

and risk having Bryant fall off the wagon with all that downtime? No thanks
