Cubs had a rough one today but I expect them to bounce back in this one. Gio's been a solid pitcher this year and while it took a few innings, the Cubs touched him up for 5 runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Do that again and end this losing streak at 1, Cubs.

Things just didn't line up well matchup wise this series.

Hendricks/Scherzer

Lackey/Gonzalez

Hammel/Strasburg

Again we had the ERA advantage in all 3 games and the FIP advantage in 2 of them. Sure on paper Scherzer and Strasburg are better than Hendricks and Hammel but based on performance this year they are close matchups. If the Cubs are a historically good team like we think they are there shouldn't be pre-series griping about not having good matchups IMO.

Hopefully they have the sloppiness out of their system now. Every stupid move Dusty tried lass night succeeded, that won't happen every night. I fully expect Lacky to go into full on dick mode and the Cubs to score some runs. Cubs win 6-3.

I was at the game for my birthday last night and was, of course, slamming Dusty for the stupid decision of having Revere at the top of the lineup and he, of course, goes on to have a great night.

Though I will give him credit for the awesome choice of "Ignition" for his walkup music.

Sidenote: today is actually my birthday, and the discovery that that is also Trump's birthday is still horrifying.

But also Boy George's birthday, so they kinda cancel each other out
