The Cubs need to use the party room one more time because they won't get many chances coming up...20 of their next 26 are on the road after this one.

There is something particularly delightful about taking the first 2 games of a series AND THEN having Arrieta take the mound, this is the 3rd or 4th time it's happened too.

Hasn't happened at all this year. If you take that to the 1st 3 games of a series, it happened vs. the Nationals.

The day is June 29, 2016. The Cubs have just defeated the Reds to break the mlb win streak record. I will have a package of 27 game win streak nachos ready for each and every one of you. My treat. http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/e4/fd/bd/e4fdbdd94b886bd0727cbae54ca1908e.jpg

Seems like there's been some weird scheduling this year, though I'm sure it's relatively normal:

-Had a stretch from April 26-May 15 with 16 out of 19 at home with the only road series being in Pittsburgh.

-Going at Milwaukee, at SF and at St. Louis was odd, especially since there was no off day going back to St. Louis. Usually they link the West Coast trips up, like Anaheim and Arizona to start the year or Col/SD/LAD later in the year.

-Coming out of the ASB, the Cubs go 6 at home, 5 on the road (though it's Milwaukee and the White Sox), 8 at home, 3 on the road and 10 at home. So that's 24 of 32 at home. So of the first 32 games after the break, for all but 3 of them, the furthest travel is Milwaukee.

-The other three road games in the aforementioned post ASB stretch? Another weird West Coast trip to Oakland. At least that one has scheduled days off the Thursday before and Monday after the series.

Hm, looks like I was remembering series wins instead of sweeps.

Where, happily, they sport a .680 winning percentage.

Where is Rizzo?

Same place Heyward is. Ready to PH against some scrub in the late innings.

Not sure if it's fair to run up the score like that
