Really think this was a great game for the team. Soler was awesome. Bryant continues to be awesome. Ross's 100th.

The only thing missing from this team right now is Rizzo and Heyward hitting awesomeness... which simply must be coming.

The only National League position players that have a higher fWAR than Kris Bryant? Dexter Fowler and Ben Zobrist.

Cubs also have 5 of the top 21 pitchers in fWAR.

Related note, I was comparing fWAR to bWAR and saw Hendricks was 71st in bWAR. Can someone explain to me why Chad Bettis (4.90 ERA, 1.30 WHIP) has a higher bWAR than Hendricks (3.30 ERA, 1.06 WHIP). I know Hendricks has thrown 25% fewer innings (46 1/3 vs. 60 2/3) but that can't be all of it. I thought bWAR was based more off runs allowed rather than the peripherals and just thought it was odd.

Park adjustments?

Didn't think of that one. Is there anything else I'm forgetting in the calculation?

It's also a 0.1 difference which is pretty much nothing so it's not like Bettis has been worth a full win more.

Park adjustments and 14 more innings will account for it I think. Shockingly, a 4.90 ERA at Coors field is *almost* an ERA+ of 100 (its a 98, I'm horsefeathering astounded to be honest, given this run environment, how a 4.90 ERA even at Coors, is almost league average, but such is life). That would mean positive value over replacement, over 14 more innings, and voila, you get slightly more WAR than Hendricks. It's an imprecise measure after all.
