Hard to judge from Gameday, but they made it look like that was a pretty decent pitch at the bottom of the zone to Diaz.

It's like Jake lost the respect of the umpires with one bad inning. 3 borderline calls that didn't go his way this inning.

God, they keep hitting grounders with a runner on first, but they are too slow or too choppy to get 2. More bad luck for Jake.

In a 2003 Sports Illustrated survey of 550 active major league players, Bucknor was voted as the worst umpire in MLB, with 20.7% of the vote. In an updated 2006 SI survey, Bucknor was again voted MLB's worst umpire, with 21% of the players' votes. In a 2010 ESPN survey of 100 active players taken after Jim Joyce's blown call that cost Armando Galarraga a perfect game, Bucknor was again named the worst umpire in baseball (while Joyce was named the best).

I can't figure out whats happening but I know its bad

I hate La Stella at third by the way. I hate hate him at third.

Sharp grounder down the 3B line, runner at 2nd originally held but broke for 3rd when LaStella threw to Rizzo. LaStella's throw took Rizzo off the bag so everyone was safe. 1st and 3rd 1 out

Jesus how much bad luck can you have in a single game? Come the hell on.

It's getting a bit absurd now. It's one thing to give up bloop base hits, it's another to be giving up such weak contact that you can't get the lead runner or even the hitter several times in 5 innings.
