The weather isn't looking good on this. Jesse Rogers said a lengthy delay or postponement is likely. Probably not the worst thing in the world after yesterday's game, honestly.

Yeah next off day is Thursday. Coming off a high energy 4 game weekend series with an extra innings ending, they could use a little rest.

The Padres aren't off Thursday, so it could be interesting trying to make the game up if it does not happen.

I'm gonna guess Aug 8. Off day for both teams, and the Padres will be heading to Pittsburgh the next day.

Accuweather seems to be optimistic with no forecasted rain from 7-8 and 9-11, but that probably just means less than 50% chance.

Tomorrow it seems like the rain will stop before gametime.

Weather this entire week looks shitty. Looks like we will have played 1/4 of our home schedule with only maybe 2 good weather games.

We're playing the Padres. How much more rest can you get without a priest standing over you?

David Ross is gonna be tired as hell. Please come back, Miggy.

Oh and let's dong the hell out of these guys and get 7+ from Jon to give the pen some reprieve.

This week was fun as hell. But we need a little less drama for a bit. Let's win 'em all by at least 5 or 6.

They could do it Monday. Both teams are off, the Padres are in Milwaukee all weekend and the Cubs are headed to Milwaukee the next day. Only downside would be the Padres flying back to SD for a home game the next day, but it's a night game and flying west gains time.

If we clinch the division in July maybe we won't have to makeup the rainout games.

I want a championship more, but I also want to win as many games as possible, so I say replay them no matter what even if we have to start Cahill in them instead of someone like Jake.

Yeah, I feel like we're in Golden State Warriors mode right now. The regular season actually does mean something to me this year. If we get anywhere near the wins record, it's gonna be sweet.

Cubs can go .500 rest of year and still have 90 wins

Which, by projections, would still win them the division by five games.

Someone find a nice, giant version of Baez coming home. I need to finally replace my desktop of Bryant doing the same.

i'm in the same boat with mine. i'm tired of that jerk rafael soriano ruining my wallpaper.

Don't have one of him coming home, but these are pretty good.

Those are cool, but I want as much of the team as possible.

i experimented by manually putting in the resolutions and it worked.

EDIT - right click and pick "open image in new tab" - forgot the forum resizes it.

It'd be cool to get to 100+ wins because this team hasn't won 100 since the 1930s, but beyond that...I'd almost prefer if they just rest dudes down the stretch even if 116 is within reach.

Not everyone will agree with me, and thats fine, but that's proooobably how I'll feel once everything is wrapped up in late August.

EDIT: Baez with his finger in the air is now my work computer's background, thank you Banedon
