I understand the low attendance in Pittsburgh the last couple decades. But now they finally have a good team and attendance is still [expletive]. what gives?

Fangraphs is now projecting the Cubs to lead the majors in runs scored and runs allowed (as in fewest runs allowed) for the full season.

So if the Pirates play in the WC game again they likely get Scherzer, Kershaw, Bumgarner, Greinke, whoever is the Mets or Cardinals ace. All very difficult opponents. Their reward for winning? Likely Arrieta, Lester and some stud Theo gets at the deadline.

i think Pirates ultimately switch it up & put Glasnow on the hill for that one

 

and Syndergaard as Mets WC starter seems likeliest (Cardinals i'm sure would still trot old cagey broken Waino over STD Distributor)

what is the cutoff for blue vs. red? and why is La Stella's upper outside zone blue, but outside that corner its red?

I'm guessing that upper outside zone is red because that's where La Stella hit that opposite field double the other day, IIRC. It's probably the only pitch in that spot he's put in play all year since there's a SSS.
