These fans have never seen a home run before. They think every 280 foot fly ball is going out of the park

Even casual fans know this team is good, so they're coming to the park ready to cheer. Give them a break.

It's every single fly ball........

I realize...but this team is expected to do well, and thus the bandwagon is enormous. Everybody's mom, grandma, kid, and weird uncle is going to games this year...probably a lot of them that didn't come the entire time the Cubs were bad. So they cheered a little prematurely. Big whoop.

What'd Bryant do?

Made an error on an easy play with the pitcher running. Just missed it with the glove. Didn't end up mattering though

Seems like every time I look up anymore Soler is going 7-8 pitches deep per at bat.

Is it just me, or has Coomer been replaced with an insightful, sometimes interesting impostor?

I'm not listening, but like those that refuse to believe that LaStella can hit a baseball, I refuse to believe Coomer can be interesting or insightful. You must me be mistaken.

don't [expletive] on excitement

I just don't like being fooled for a split second into thinking a ball is a homer

Hilarious how committed Gameday is to Jackie Robinson day. Every play is #42 pitches to #42 who hits a fly ball to #42.

One of my best friends from High School was in that recentish Jackie Robinson movie, and now every year I'm reminded of how horrible that movie was.

I think that's always true on the flyballs until there is a homerun then people start to see the difference. The wind is also killing everything in the air. Montero hit that pretty well for example.

It did take him a good 5 seconds to tell me that Parra caught the Montero fly after the ball was actually caught. The crowd noise is a better play by play guy...so if it is an impostor, he knows what he's doing.

I feel like Soler has put together solid at-bats the last like 10 times up.

Very impressed with his approach lately. He still swings through a lot of stuff but he's been a lot more selective up there.

Soler running on a squeeze terrifies me

saw that coming... Not really his fault though
