The Smith acquisition makes me wonder if Wood or Montgomery is gonna be stretched out for the 6th starter spot. Otherwise it makes no sense. He doesn't have spot when Grimm comes back up.

 

Wood becoming the 6th starter was my first thought.

Dilson Herrera to the Reds instead of Nimmo. Good for him getting out from under the stupid management of the Mets letting him be blocked by the likes of Neil Walker... oh he's blocked by Brandon Phillips now? Cool.

They already had Peraza from the Todd Frazier trade who was block at 2B.

I don't understand all the lamenting about not getting Moore, maybe someone can describe why he's so good? Since coming back from TJS, he's been less valuable than Jason Hammel has been over that span. I get the whole young controllable pitching thing, but if the pitcher that is under your control is mediocre then who cares? Would rather take another stab at a better YCP in the offseason and ride with the 5 pretty good to great guys we have now.
