Ok, I don't want Caratini or Candelario doing any more cool stuff before I get on record that they're my guys. Figured you all have some favorites, and this gives us an easy spot to point back to for you to say "that was my guy. And that dude. Was not my guy." Easier than digging back through the voting threads to find the spot where you called 30 home runs out of Jimenez.

So here's my list:

Contreras

Torres

Candelario

Almora

Happ

Jimenez

Cease

McKinney

EJM

Caritini

Notes:

- Contreras over Torres easy. That offensive season at AA, with that K rate. Defensive praise coming out the ass from everyone. My favorite quote on Torres was (I think from someone here) that at this point he's Castro's power with Baez's Ks. A lot to go wrong. Contreras will be a beast.

- Candelario! Remember that 3 double 2 HR game from AZ last year? ~11% K rate at AA and AZ, and I thought he looked pretty good defensively in ST. Very professional looking at bats with close takes and a nifty homer off a broken Madbum. I could see him fitting in with the Cubs if he keeps tapping into that power.

- Almora vs Happ. Taking the sure defense and contact of Almora here. If he can develop some patience he'll be golden. This could be the guy that allows Schwarbs to keep playing for the Cubs.

- Jimenez is HUGE! And doesn't strike out much. Strikeouts are super important. But looking like Tweety bird on monster serum goes a long way with me.

- Cease at 100 MPH lottery ticket over a guy with a ceiling roughly of Coughlan

- EJM - Lots of things could go right here. Size and ability to play CF go a long way. Also, not a pitcher

- Caritini - Hit .283/.367/.424 from 6/1 on. Could easily put him higher

Didn't make it

- Edwards - Hovering around 6 BB a game since 2014. Even before that was in the 3s. Have to see way better

- Underwood - No Ks ever and injured

- All other pitchers - I'd prefer to roll with position players as far down this list as I can go

I won't dump the rest here, because the polling is still going on for beyond top 10. But anyone else have one? I've gotten to see lists from just about every source, but this is where my most trusted baseball sources reside. Let me see some lists.

Still unsure how to rank Eddy Julio Martinez but he probably belongs in the top ten.

1. Willson Contreras-Nearly MLB ready and continued to rake in the fall league.

2. Gleyber Torres- Would like to see more power with that strike out rate, but he's done very well while aggressively pushed.

3.Eloy Jiminez- Shows a patient approach rare for a young power hitter. This is the year he starts to get noticed as a top prospect. He and Jomar Reyes explode on the scene and show they're just as talented as Rafael Devers.

4. Dylan Cease- 2 plus pitches, with a third that is underused but has the making of an average offering along with plus plus velocity. The ceiling is high on this one.

5. Ian Happ- The power, the patience and the speed are nice, the K% is not, especially for a college bat. If he can stick at 2B he probably deserves to be higher, but I'm doubting it.

6.Albert Almora- Great second half and impressive D in spring training. He's not terribly exciting but I think he's a good bet to bring 2-3fWAR seasons.

7.Billy McKinney- He has done nothing but rake, unfortunately he plays a position where he needs to rake even harder. He's going to have a long mlb career, but if he can muster 15-20HR power will determine whether it's as a 4th OFer or a starter.

8.Oscar De La Cruz- Impressive last year and intriguing this year if it's true that he's added a few ticks to his fastball making him a 94-95mph guy.

9.Jeimer Candelario- The bat is a lot more impressive than I thought, but when he's likely to end up in corner outfield spot or 1B it needed to be. If by chance he sticks at 3B, he'd be much higher on the list.

10.Duane Underwood- Still barely hanging onto the top 10. How can he feature 2 plus pitchers with plus velocity and miss so few bats? For me this is the make or break year for him.

I don't think there's much question that Candelario can handle third base in the big leagues. It's part of why I have him ranked so highly.

I didn't realize the opinion of his defense had risen so drastically. It feels like this time last year he was a guy who would be tolerable if he could rake.

I don't know about lists or order, but I will make the prediction that Contreras, Almora and Happ will contribute to the big club in the next 2-3 years, and Torres, Candelario and McKinney will get traded. Ive got no idea on pitchers, but lets be bold and say Cease and Hudson end up as TOR guys that will eventually replace Lester and Arrieta
