I think we need a thread title change but not sure to what.

"Is exit velocity useful?"

"How much money will the Cubs make when they charge $6600 a ticket???"

The concern about his running on that double seems really silly to me. He said after his last game that he was just there for the ABs and running wasn't even a worry. The fact that he even bothered to go to second says enough to me.

Yeah he made into second base just fine when I saw that I wasn't worried at all. It showed he could do it when it counts so that's good enough for me.

Yup and even went into a foot first slide with no hesitation/sloppiness and looked completely at ease doing that tells me all I need to know.

Shaddup, Tom. Go back to your hole before you get salted.

I'm not wrong. Not being able to win a popularity contest be damned.

Not wrong about what? Questioning whether hitting the ball hard is useful?

Is that the narrative we're going to be running with? I guess I should not pretend to be surprised.

Hey, just looking for clarification here.

Schwarber's knee is in such great shape, he'll make it all the way home before his 27mph dong lands.

Literally lold at this

Also, and it's hard to believe this needs to be spelled out, exit velocity is a measurement of how hard the ball is hit, which can proxy to how well Schwarber is timing pitches in the AFL. If he had gone 2 for 3 with a broken bat single and a bloop double, that'd be less positive than his actual result of a hard hit groundout and a double down the line. Or in other words, exit velocity is simply putting a finer point on the eyewitness accounts talking about Schwarber grounding out sharply, or smoking a double to RF.

"Is exit velocity useful?"

A second completely unnecessary post that is not intended to do anything but bring about unnecessary confrontation.

i wonder how many other teams have at least 3-4 blogs that are objectively better than their SB Nation guy

Not many. I think Yellon is so inept that you could probably select a dozen or so posters off of this board who could do a better job. BCB is a joke.

Schwarber's knee is fine; I think too many of us were scarred by Derrick Rose's body being inexplicably made of lies and Popsicle sticks.

I think that was actually his brain and not his knee that is made of Popsicle sticks.

Sure, but he kept actually breaking, too.

It's crazy how excited I am about this. Schwarber only has 21 career MLB home runs, and yet I'm confident he's going to add to his Cubs career postseason record. He was my favorite player last year, just a pure joy to watch, and that swing is *kisses fingers* violent and sweet at the same time.

I guess I have to buy my second shirsey of all time.

We should start a site where we write articles about the Cubs! Too bad there's not already an established site out there that will let us do it so we have a built in user base :(

Wait a minute.... OH SHI
