Prediction: Random beat writer vomits an article about how they shouldn't be playing golf mid-season because it'll affect their baseball swing / arm.

ha, that was the first thing I noticed

The first thing I noticed is that it was all white guys. What Dex and fowler can't play golf? I'll bet Javy drives it a mile. Probably swings and misses 20% of the time, though.

...I have no joke here.

I feel like this isn't getting enough attention.

Carl's Jr. has the second-lowest Contact % of any major league pitcher with at least 10 IP. He also has the lowest average exit velocity of any pitcher with at least 30 batted-ball events.

That sounds like a recipe for success.

Wasn't there a golf and cespedes story recently?

I know it's just rounding, but that's the first time I've seen the Cubs at 100% for making the playoffs, which is fun.

If the Cubs go 28-27 the rest of the way, the Cardinals would have to go 37-17 to catch us. If we play to projection (99 wins currently), Cardinals have to go 42-12 to catch us.

None of this is really groundbreaking, but every now and then it's good to sit back and smile.

Mostly. Hardee's has a few menu items from before Carls Jr bought them though. LIke the hot ham and cheese. The actual Carls Jr restaurants don't have it.

They were golfing with Ricky Fowler, who was taking the photo

If one of CJ and Grimm continues to be legit, we'll have a sick pen to turn to in October. I mean, Strop-Rondon-Chapman are nasty enough but adding one more dude there would be absurd.

6 straight wins

99% to win the division

Back to being projected to win 100 also. I didn't check every day but after the sweep of Pittsburgh to go to 47-20, they were projected for 103 wins, which I'm assuming is the high point.

EDIT: They were at 103.3 on June 4 when they were 39-15.
