"save it pal" is such a Kris Bryant insult I barely believe it's real
I feel like he gave the phone to his wife and let her respond. Then he added the "save it pal" and debated for 20 minutes whether he should hit send or not.

Probably gonna claim he was hacked after he wakes up from his sparking cider hangover and regrets his tone

he'd be consumed by guilt if he did that

Sparking cider sounds like a good time to me.

My wife’s uncle has more than a few screws loose. He claimed he got drunk off the sparkling cider at our wedding and couldn’t drive home.

Olney is going through ranking the top 10 players at every position, his 3B rankings came out today and he has KB ranked 4th behind Arenado (1), Jose Ramirez (2) and Rendon (3).

If you look only at last year, the four are pretty much even by average of bWAR and fWAR:

Arenado 6.4 WAR

Ramirez 6.8 WAR

Rendon 6.4 WAR

Bryant 6.4 WAR

Of course, that also ignores the fact that KB was the best 3B in both versions of WAR in 2016, 2 wins better than Arenado and 3.5 better than both of the other two. And it's not like Bryant is in his 30's where his best days might be behind him.

"Just who the HECK does this JERK think he is!"

"Kris! Language."

Too much of a personal attack, IMO.

"My friend, you're wrong ".

Yeah if you want to say just in 2017 then...whatever - differences in WAR like those are meaningless but I don't know how you rank Ramirez ahead of Bryant.

Yeah, I wouldn't trade KB for any other third-baseman either. KB is definitely better than J. Ramirez, and if you take Arenado out of Coors he'll still be a great player but his offensive stats won't be as impressive. It's either him or Machado for best defensive 3B, where they do add a TON of value.

A. Rendon is a great hitter and his BB/K last year was super impressive, but KB is a better player and has the higher ceiling.

KB should be #1 on that list and I think most executives and GMs would place him there (regardless of contract and years till FA).

Petition to change thread title to “This is where we talk about how adequate Kris Bryant is” until after arbitration hearings are done.

Petition to change this busted ass thread title to, "Somehow I doubt your commitment to #sparklemotion!"

I may have watched Donnie Darko a few too many times...

Look at that, Bryant has a literal .500 OBP in 42 plate appearances

He’s on another level so far this year. He’s looked locked in during a majority of his PAs

he's gonna win another mvp this season

He damn well better or he will have been screwed over. Cubs fans don't appreciate him nearly enough.

It's hard to appreciate him when we have a team full of young stars. We'll appreciate him more when Bryce says a big reason he wanted to join the Cubs was to play next to his BFF this coming offseason.

PS -- I think Kyle Hendricks is the most underappreciated Cubs player.
