Circus Circus.

Never been to Vegas, but we went through Reno as a kid and stayed at Circus Circus, and I remember loving the arcade there.

Thus ends my Circus Circus story.

When we go to Vegas we always would stay at this awful hotel/casino called the riviera - long story, but basically they let us stay for free as long as we wanted. Anyway, Im watching the new Bourne movie and he crashes a car right into the horsefeathers casino there! I was like wtf. Then I googled it and it turns out they had to destroy the Riv so they let Bourne trash it for his movie.

EDIT: I forgot the reason I told this story is because the Riv was right next to circus circus. First time I went to vegas, my friend (a portly dude) was like "we gotta go to circus circus once so you can eat the $1 footlong hot dogs!" he was so lit it was hilarious. We get there and they've replaced the hot dog stand with a subway. He was so mad I found him sitting down at a virtual dog-racing game yelling at the video game dogs.

Oh yes I know and have had that Hot dog. It was from the Westward Ho, which is right next door to Circus Circus. It was nicknamed the "Ho" dog. It tasted like the 90 year old hot dog Kramer ate in Seinfeld at the old movie house.

The Paris hotel has always been my favorite. Good restaurants, good casino, good hotel and awesome location. Plus they have these 3-4 foot tall eiffel tower shaped margaritas that are delicious and take all night and part of the next morning to drink.

I stay at Bally's probably 99% of the time I go. I think they have the best sports book out there for on the strip hotels/casinos, may not be the most up to date but there's always plenty of seating, can get 1-3 of your own TVs to switch between games/follow multiple bets and they are pretty generous with their free drink vouchers when you place bets.

My favorite book right now is either Caesar's or Mirage. Wynn's is nice too.

The new poker room at Encore has a sportsbook window, so I will probably be spending a lot of time there the next time I go. :-"

Like I said Bally's isn't going to win any awards for being the nicest/most up to date but it gets the job done for me for the reasons I mentioned. I was out there over Thanksgiving and spent nearly my entire time in there over 4 straight days.

I've never been to the Mirage's book but have been to Caesar's and the Wynn's. I like both as both are really nice, just find Caesar's can get way too crowded and the Wynn is a little bit out of the way for me typically with where I stay. The sportsbook window at the poker room could get a little dangerous, but sounds like a nice set up. I'm thinking of going out there for 2-3 days during Super Bowl week to make some bets (like Tue-Thursday, I did it last year and it was fun to get on some of the props and what not) then the next trip for sure for me will be in July during NBA Summer League.

Definitely agree that they get crowded...Mirage does too. You have to get there early (or pay out the ass for a reserved seat which I won't be doing), but that seems to be the case for every book I pass by on an NFL Sunday.

closest thing i have to that hot dog deal is this dive bar we hit when we're walking around and they have a deal for a hotdog and a crappy beer (michelob iirc) for like $2

it's called the stage door and it has the strongest cigarette smell i've ever encountered

How many times does Bryant hit .300 over the next 5-6 years? How many .300+/.400+/.500+ seasons? 2? 3? 1? Take it at 1.5.

I'll take the over and not think twice.

is it just me or does trout look like a cross between rizz and miggy montero here?

I swear I was thinking that exact thing before I scrolled down and read your post. I double taked and thought it had to be Miggy.

I wasn't really paying attention and thought it was Miggy when I scrolled passed it. When I read the post, I scrolled back up and was sure it was Rizzo instead until the full picture loaded.

KB says he's gonna start incorporating his usual flair for oppo blasts into his game this year.

I'll take some 300/400/600 seasons

I love that he is able to adapt and improve himself. Last year it was with flattening out his swing. Now he is doing this in case teams start pitching him away more. These aren't superficial changes. He's actually looking for ways that he can improve himself, without taking away from things that he already does well. It is crazy to think that he could still get better.
