Are they still going to charge the Regional Sports fee on top of the Ultimate package if that happens?  I thought that was the point of that fee.

That's a good question, but I would say they will definitely keep the fee, but only charge it to subscribers of the Ultimate package.  Those fees allow them to sneakily increase prices anytime they want, so they will never go away.

My biggest gripe with Marquee is the forward and reverse controls just plain suck. They seem to have mostly gotten past the bugginess of randomly dropping the stream, but it is a huge pain in the ass if I want to go back and watch key plays if I miss an inning or 2 doing other stuff.

Oh man. I forgot about that. Mine will only fast forward in frames. Takes about 6 to 7 pushes of the fast forward button to jump through the commercials at times when I have to pause the game. I will say that it was cool to pause the game and turn the tv off and when I turned the tv back on, it was still in the same pause position as when it was set to pause. Haven't even tried the rewind button,

Not surprising really, but it sucks that CHSN pulled the plug on their OTA stations as soon as they made a deal with Xfinity.  Maybe it was always just a temporarily solution, or maybe Xfinity demanded it in their negotiations, but a lot of people went out of their way to setup antennas for the sole purpose of watching the network and now they have to go right back to a pay provider to continue receiving it.

I had not heard this. Welp, that sucks. Guess I'll have to break down and stream that app when the hockey/basketball season's start.

OTA fans had to know this was coming sooner or later

Every year people complain about ESPN talking about the NFL in the offseason. Every year people want to talk about the NFL in the offseason.

the nba finals has two teams nobody cares about. Each nba draft has like 1 future star and 3 good role players but nobody knows who any of them will be. MLB regular season is 2 years long and nobody cares about anything but their home team. It’s a regional sport, not national. Nobody gives a horsefeathers about college baseball outside of like 6 small town campuses.

I don’t watch espn talk shows, but if you do, and you complain about them talking about the one national sport in this country. You’re doing it wrong.

I'm guessing most of the posters on this site who have been here a long time are no longer in the demographics ESPN is catering to.

Yeah that screen is an eye roll for me but also I know that ESPN isn't doing anything that will jeopardize their ratings

ESPN shows are either people yelling at each other, shows about sports gambling, or people yelling at each other about sports gambling

Yeah only time I watch ESPN now are for NFL games pretty much or the Hot Dog Contest on the 4th of July.  I used to watch all the time in the 90s-00s

It's college basketball for me, but SportsCenter went from a daily watch in the 90's to an instant turn-off today.  That is partly because ESPN sucks, and partly because nobody has an hour to watch highlights when you can quickly find whatever you are looking for on YouTube.

I haven't watched ESPN outside of NFL games in decades at this point. There was a time I'd record Sportscenter or Baseball tonight every night to see what was said about the Cubs. Now it's constant bickering and drama with the rare interesting article locked behind a paywall on their website. ESPN could disappear tomorrow and it wouldn't effect my life in the slightest.

ESPN just posted an article about the betting odds for a celebrity golf tournament.

I know this isn't the low point when it comes to gambling and ESPN, but there's something really warped about this article. I feel like anyone who pays serious attention to it should sign up for Gam-Anon meetings.

I wish you didn’t link to the article. I thought it was an article criticizing t it
