I love goofy Starlin but let's not forget The Castro Game® including his lean back monster shot pimp job and curtain call, against StL in a pennant race no less.

I was at that game. **sniff**

The jumping uppercut after they won a game (can't remember which one it was) was pretty great

It was after Jake's no-hitter.

Yah. It was in Pittsburgh. Pretty sure it was the same series he almost killed that lady but maybe not since we went there a million times early.

Yep. I was at both those games. Starlin also hit a monster homer to center in the same game he had the GW hit. Good times.

I'll never forget that one game in June against the Twins when he let a ball go through his legs with two outs and the bases loaded and then that other runner scored from second while Castro had his back turned.

It just made you love him for being human.

Lets also not forget he caught the final out on a soft liner to end the Cubs first playoff win in 12 seasons in Pittsburgh. The way he causually snapped his glove closed was awesome.

I'm so happy he got to play a playoffs with the Cubs. Although we didn't know it at the time, it was a fitting bookend to his Cubs career after so many years of struggle as a team. Also he got to hit a game tying HR in game 3 which was sweet.

This was a very smart trade by the Cubs.

What kind of booze did you have stashed in your office desk today to already be this drunk with happiness?

I heard it as "vacation in St. Louis" and I felt so, so bad for him.

hahahaha same

yeah, between having to console his bawling wife and then at the end saying that after some thought he's "ok with it" he didn't sound crazy about it

guess he doesn't realize the dong show he's about to witness roll the national league.

Eh, it's always got to be tough to leave the team that drafted you and you came up with. The Cubs are projected to be damn good, but the Yankees are always the Yankees even when they're not so hot, and leaving NYC even for a city like Chicago can't help but seem like a downgrade.

They'll win him over with the magic shows and dongs and petting zoos, though. And the winning. All of the sweet, sweet winning.

It's probably just me projecting, but he looks so sad.

Also, is that his Cubs batting helmet sitting to his left?
