I'm just not that bummed out, yeah we got beat. Yeah, Daniel Murphy hates gays. But, I just think this was the beginning. This year we got a no hitter, rookie dongs all over, and we beat the cardinals in a playoff series. This might be the best season any of us have ever had as cubs fans, I'm not letting four games ruin all of it.

I feel similar. It was like winning an important battle but one of your major commanders is out of commission. That ineffable momentum thing.

I'm not super bummed out overall because this season was [expletive] awesome, but with Arrieta very possibly a victim of the "big inning jump" injury/ineffectiveness next year and Hammel clearly not able to be counted upon, I'm not feeling as high on next year as many. At the least we need more pitching.
