Oh look, another strike 3 that wasn't. I hope Phil Cuzzi gets into a car with a Cardinal driving tonight.

Every single [expletive] hitter strikes out on a pitch that wasn't a strike.

I think we all need to ignore that pitch tracker. That pitch was pretty good

the guys zone is [expletive] huge and everyone is just lookin'. unreal

Just because he's calling pitches they can't hit doesn't mean they should swing at pitches they cant hit.

Sucks, but I'm not terribly concerned yet.

These sorts of crappy zones play into our weakness as a team.

We'd have a ton of baserunners tonight with a real zone.

You sound like someone retweeted by CubsFacebook

can't remember...where you the one that tried to argue that Ross wasn't terrible when he started the year with a bunch of walks because he was hitting in front of lester?

Yes I understand David Ross murdered your family, it doesn't make you sound any less like a crazy person

i swear i remember him being a much better poster years ago. was he always like this?

dude I wanted to pinch hit for garbage hitting David Ross...is that sooooo insane.

i did too. i'm talking about all the histrionics about maddon getting outmanaged and matheny pushing all the right buttons like you're one of those meatball tv announcers, like it was some genius premonition he had to put in tommy pham.

Rough. I wasn't necessarily certain of victory tonight but I really didn't expect to be completely shut down offensively. Rough loss but the best thing about baseball is today is another day.

This team is different than 07-08 and will not roll over. I am calling W tomorrow

Sucks to lose in the playoffs. But teams don't typically win all their playoff games. Still got a great shot if we can just pull one off tomorrow.

i really just wanted a split out of these first two. please, please, please win tomorrow.

didn't say I wanted maddon fired. didn't say that matheny was a genius. no histrionics.

you don't agree that matheny had a better game than maddon?

Bryant gotta get it going. 0-7, 3 K, 1 BB (doubled off first), 2 GIDP, 10 outs made in 8 PA

Can't wait until he turns it around tomorrow.

Per Brooks Baseball, Cards pitchers got 12 called strikes out of the zone, the Cubs 6. For pitches that were off the plate(and didn't miss high/low), the Cards got 9 and the Cubs 3.

Rizzo and Starlin are both equally bad at the plate. Can't win with them doing nothing, just not going to happen.

I don't think matheney had anything to do with it.

The Cardinals also might have swung at more pitches out of the zone to protect. The Cubs stared at a ton that they could have easily swung at. The zone was bad the entire game for both teams.
