LOVE how the ESPN Radio crew played soundbites from a jubilant downtown KC, and then brought up [expletive] Ferguson, and somehow managed to shoehorn in an Armoderez Green reference.

Go [expletive] yourself

Ned Yost has a World Series title to his name now.

It took less than 5 minutes after the final pitch for someone to tell me Sveum was a great hitting coach and had nothing to do with the disaster that was Castro and Rizzo 2013.

It's a night where fair is foul and foul is fair and Ned Yost just won a World Series. People will regain their heads when they wake up tomorrow.

I realize there are no such thing as curses but....

RIP 2007 Diamondbacks

RIP 2008 Dodgers

RIP 2015 Mets

three teams combined to win 2 games after sweeping the Cubs out of the playoffs.

It just makes me happy that Harvey being brought out for the 9th started their collapse and it happened because

1) Matt Harvey demanded it

2) Terry Collins caved into his demand, despite knowing he probably shouldn't have done it

3) And all the Mets fans wanted him to come back out, and made it verbally clear, which may have also contributed to Collins' decision to leave him in

I hope all those Mets fans who were clamoring for Harvey feel like stupid dumbass baseball fans

Next year that trophy will be ours

How many Cubs fans are going to drop dead if the Cubs have to go twice to get it done like the Royals?

If the first one ends losing by 1 run in a Game 7 vs. a pitcher pulling a superhuman effort with the tying run 90 feet away? Plenty. Thousands? Millions?

If we get our asses handed to us like we did vs. the Mets this year? Not many.

I was okay with him going out to start the ninth but there was no excuse letting him face anyone else after Cain got on. You have to recognize, as well as Harvey had done, it was the heart of the Royals lineup facing Harvey for a fourth time.

The way Collins used Familia all series was just brutal.

I gotta say, given the way we lost, and the way the Mets, who had a lead in all 4 games they lost, and then lost them in heartbreaking fashion, I much prefer getting swept into oblivion.

If the Cubs were on the receiving end of the Royals magic clutch garbage stuff, the series might've killed me

Yep. That's why 2003 was so painful. I'm pretty sure they would've beaten the Yankees.

2015 I can live with. They way the Royals played, I think they would've easily handled the Cubs too. I don't buy this "clutch magic" is just luck. Hendricks or Hammel vs the Royals would've been bad. That's a given. But they would've also killed Lester. Probably score 5-6 runs off him without hitting a single ball hard.

the royals actually struggled with finesse pitchers more so than hard throwers.

For the record, Lester didn't face the Royals at all in the 2015 meetings, but in 2014 he faced them 3 times (all after July 20th).

It's a silly point to counter anyway, but you're forgetting one.

I wanna see the one where half those seats are empty as they score their 7th run.

Some of you know that I have been a Royals season ticket holder in the past and follow them very closely. I even call myself a fan. We went to the parade yesterday and it was the craziest event I have ever been to. Since there is no legitimate public transportation in KC the 400,000-800,000 people that showed up (depending on which estimate you believe) created a gridlock like I've never seen. People just left their cars on the Interstate and walked 4-5 miles to get to the parade. We could not leave our parking spot for 3 hours after the rally was over. The restaurants ran out of food. Thankfully, we were somewhat prepared for something like that and had brought food and water. The places people had parked their cars was just insane. I know many thousands of people just turned around after sitting in traffic for over 3 hours trying to get there. The shuttles that they had setup still had a line when we left after 6:00 pm.

Still had a blast.
