What forum is this? Did you post it or did someone steal your joke?

Man, as amazing as taking the division would be, I'm kind of in love with the idea of assassinating the Cardinals via Arrieta in a WC game.

having arrieta grab us a 1-0 lead would be so much better tho

assuming we finish this off, i wonder where the 2% division odds would go if we won tomorrow

still low as [expletive], i'm sure

Serious question, was there some sort of computer glitch in the standings that caused the Cardinals to have the record they have? They look awful.

Their pitching has overachieved to amazingly unsustainable proportions.

Their offense hasn't really been able to hit much this year.

Not really. They have a extremely high strand rate, but they've still pitched great, just better than their FIP, which is still second to only the Dodgers in all of baseball. So no, they haven't overachieved to amazingly unsustainable proportions.

And whenever a team gets blown out, they look terrible. Judging their season performance based off the last two games is silly as the people who judge players off having a bad post season series.

But I get it, your Cubs fans who hate the Cardinals, so logic isn't really what you're going to be using when evaluating a rival.

Instant elimination would be so, so much sweeter.

They don't have an 'extremely high' strand rate. They have the highest strand rate in the HISTORY of baseball. It's unsustainable and hilariously so (which the Cubs have shown to some extent these last 1 1/3 games).

Between the Cardinals fandom and the fact that your screen name's only contribution to society was Sable, you're on my list.

I'd rather eliminate them as the final step to the World Series.

Unfortunately that's pretty much impossible. We're playing them in the NLDS if at all.
