Sorry.

Was Davearm banned? I feel like I've seen people say he was crazy.

He was like some crazy homeless man cursed to always be right with his ramblings but no one would ever believe him.

What did he ever stumble over besides being adamant that Ricketts wasn't going to spend?

He was gung-ho on the entire idea of a rebuild and how Pujols was going to be old and broken down, and pretty much all of us yelled at him and told him how stupid that was, the Cubs obviously weren't going to do a rebuild.

Not that it means he wasn't being stupid, it's just funny in retrospect.

Hmm...among guys with 150PA or more, Soler is 33rd in avg FB/LD velocity, and 19th in GB velocity. and, again, 15th overall.

I'm not really sure what to make of that but I'm sure it's got something to do with something.

Just spitballing here:

Maybe it has something to do with how his swing is designed right now. So, it's kinda like how flyballs against extreme groundball pitchers usually do more damage than flyballs against extreme flyball pitchers. Since the extreme flyball pitchers are trying to get you to hit flyballs, then they get a lot of lazy flyouts. But, when a groundball pitcher gives up a flyball, then it is often a mistake up in the zone that gets hammered.

Maybe when Soler really gets into one, it is bound to be of the line drive or groundball variety, since that is what his swing is designed to do. And his flyballs are maybe off of pitches he just misses a bit.

Or maybe it's just small sample size nonsense.

I remember Sofa making fun of me when I said in September of Pujols' final season with the Cards that he didn't look the same anymore when I watched him bat.

It wasn't a great explanation, so I deserved it, but sometimes you just have to watch a guy to realize he isn't as good as people think. Like Carlos Gomez.

I'm on my phone and at first all I saw was the Cutler one which is pretty bad, but then I scrolled over and saw the Kane one. Oh dear

Kyle, as we sit here on August 20 with the fourth best record in baseball with a bunch of players, most very young, performing very well and who were acquired as a direct result of the tem being bad, you're still going to call the rebuild stupid? It was risky, as we got huge gifts from the Astros, Orioles, and Athletics and it certainly sucked to watch, but this is pretty sweet right now.

You haven't been harping on it lately, but you have to have softened your stance a little, right?

BUNTING

also he vehemently defended dusty baker for having harang throw 50 pitches in a long extra inning game 2 days after he'd thrown 100+ pitches in a start.

Nothing in that post said anything about my opinion on the rebuild.

Hm, my bad then. I read you calling that dave guy stupid after mentioning the rebuild as a comment on the rebuild. But either way, has your opinion changed at all?

GIDP please, enough screwing around.

At what score and in what inning would you not freak out over the most minor incidents?

16-0, 2 outs, 9th inning.

But really like someone else said its more frustration of having to use Grimm than anything. May need him tomorrow in what could be a low scoring game.
