I love Wada, but Haren's averaging 6+ IP/GS. Wada hasn't shown the health or ability to not be a drag on the bullpen as a rotation guy.

Haren average start 6 1/3 innings

Wada average start 4 1/3 innings (last year 5 1/3 innings)

 

The numbers are similar including FIP, Haren just eats more innings which is nice for a 5th starter. Not my ideal pickup but I do think he's better than any of the other internal options.

This is barely trying. Probably 2 really crappy prospects going back to Miami. Literally doesn't hurt the Cubs at all and it gives them a slight upgrade.
