isnt that what juan pierre sang after the marlins beat us

Let's hope the gimmick known as Wada - is over.

Why? Yes he hasn't given them a lot of innings but part of that is because he he started the season injured and needed to stretch the arm out. Outside of 1 bad start he's been fine for a 5th starter, much better than Wood or EJax who would be the expected replacements unless Turner is ready to go. And even if it's turner theres a legit risk that he is worse than Wada

Awesome win, but Jesus, some of are you are talking like they're a terrible team who miraculously beat worldbeaters instead of the 38-30 Cubs beating the 39-32 Dodgers at home.

2009 Cubs high water mark was 9 games over so if we can get to 10 games over we will reach our high point since the 2008 Cubs and I believe the 2nd highest point since the 2004 Cubs.

Edit: 2007 Cubs peaked at 10 over

Fowler would likely be out until after the ASG even if it's just an average ankle sprain. But I think the offense will be okay with a Coghlan/Szczur/Denorfia/Lake OF for the next 10ish days and then Coghlan/Denorfia LF/Szczur CF/Soler RF for the time up to the break.

Against a pitcher with an ERA in the 3.30s

Fake edit: ok fine his FIP is still 2.58

Yes? The guy who they have beaten before as a worse team and who is going to have plenty of beatable outings each year? It was just a good win!

He's an all-time great pitcher with a good lineup behind him. Beating Kershaw is a great regular season win. Especially against Wada and Wood.
