Maddon going HAM after the game on that awful umpiring of late:

 

"It was egregiously bad," Maddon said. "You cannot permit that to happen. We're trying to ascend and we're not going to take that from anybody, anywhere at any time. I'm not going to put up with anything, I'm not. And I'm not going to allow our guys to get shortchanged based on the fact they have haven't been here a long time. We play a veteran club with a veteran battery against guys with barely two months in the big leagues I'm not going to take it. Our guys deserve equal treatment and I'm not going to take it."

 

Have I said I love Joe Maddon before? I love Joe Maddon.

 

Oh that is lovely. I am so loving this team. Seriously, even the first two games of this series I was loving this team and just angry at the wizardry of the Cardinals.

Everyone on this team has their moments (well, still waiting on a lot of the bullpen). I'm just super excited to be enjoying baseball again.

Fun fact: Much like his counterpart that he gets lumped in with, Joey Gallo has yet to hit a home run this season.

 

Their dong cycles might be synced up with one another.
