Rain in the forecast both today and tomorrow. Early glance today seems like the heaviest rain might be after the game ends, although close enough that a delay could put that in danger. Both teams are off/traveling Thursday, Cubs to Denver and Cards to Cincinnati.

Anyone want my seats in 425? I'm not expecting to get face ($50 each) so I'd much rather someone from here go than a Cards fan on StubHub. PM me if you're interested. Edited by ConstableRabbit

Mark Gonzales @MDGonzales

Jake Arrieta's 0.92 ERA in five career starts vs. STL is lowest among any pitcher with at least 5 starts vs. Redbirds.

what's the Cubs version of pixie dust

I was going to rant about Lynn coming out of nowhere to be an effective pitcher and then decided this wouldn't be the right time to do so.

nachos?

nachos failed. They are banished.

(from game threads, not from our lives of course)

if we're only going with what works, it's saved by the bell gifs

I was more annoyed that they just lifted him out of the pen and jacked up his innings count with no repercussion, but I guess the jump wasn't that huge (109 to 176).

do not do shitty saved by the bell garbage.

if anything, the nachos ordeal should teach us that it's time to move upward and onward.
