So it was pointed out on the Score that the forecast doesn't even have rain in it until like 11...lol

Had to be a desperation move to get more time to help accommodate the facility inadequacies they faced on opening night. I'm sure they've all played in colder weather, this really is a joke of a postponement.

Yeah, it has that feeling. They had the off day yesterday, so you'd think they'd be more prepared, but cancelling six hours before the scheduled first pitch due to a forecast of 40 degrees and a slight chance of rain seems sketchy. I also haven't seen the 'sub-freezing wind chills' forecasted anywhere.

I think the Cubs will simply take any excuse they can to push games to later in the year right now.

They'll make more money and play with a better roster.

If this happens again tomorrow, however, I will probably actually die.

One of the highlights of opening night was a Cards fan in line behind me talking about how our lineup was filled with nobodies: "Chris Coghlan? Never heard of that guy."

I turned around and said, "You know, he was ROY a few years ago." Blank stares.

Oh cool, I get this game. For all the moaning about how non-Chicago fans would be ruined by this, I personally suddenly get a lot more games on TV rather than having to stream them.

Yep, they did a good job making deals around the area. Every game should be on tv this year for me, whereas there were times in previous years where I didn't get the games on WCIU.

No such thing as "too hard" for this one.

All too well, which is why that jumbotron is a terrible idea. We'll never see them again.

They got boned by life when they started living in Wisconsin.

Quad-Cities here, with DirecTV. I get all of the ABC 7 games but, from what I can tell, none of the 45 WGN games. Not enough IMO to warrant buying MLB.TV, unless this team is going to contend.

I used to get every game but the handful of WCIU ones. Oh well. :?

You wouldn't be able to watch the games live on MLB.tv anyway. That's my problem. I live inside the blackout zone but the games aren't carried by any station I can get. The only games I get are the CSN games.
