The whole situation is stupid, but to be apples to apples in a hypothetical, this would be the equivalent of Ray being accused of marijuana possession.

 

 

Aside: the only way you get busted for marijuana possession on a traffic stop is you're high or you let the cops search your car for some reason. What an idiot.

Were I the Titans, thats what I would want everyone believing. Time to drive up the price.

 

It's the NFL draft so it's certainly possible that they are trying to drive up the price for Mariotta. The Jets or the Eagles or even the Browns are certainly dumb enough to vastly over pay for that pick. Either way it seems like he is going 2nd to whoever makes that pick.

Yeah, from what I've been seeing, the Titans are desperately trying to get out of that spot.

 

I wouldn't say desperately, but they definitely would prefer to trade the pick. And for good reason - Mariota is a very good prospect, but picks 12, 19 and 43 are better. Local reports are that they weren't sold on Mariota's fit early in the process, but they're sold on him now.

What package are #Eagles talking about to go to No. 1 or No. 2? Two 1st rounders, a 3rd rounder, Fletcher Cox, Boykin, Kendricks, more. Wow.
