If he falls and the Texans want to trade up to 7, I'd do it in a heartbeat. You could get an RGIII-like haul for that pick.

I'm guessing teams are going to be a little turned off from offering RGIII type hauls after how that's turned out. The Steelers could be an interesting team for him, if he does fall. Big Ben is getting old and his contract is up soon.

Technically, Winston is already a stealer.

Yep, that was the joke. Difficult to make homophone puns in writing without some sort of misunderstanding.

I think the value of the pick is still VERY high if he falls to 7. You are talking about a potential franchise QB in a draft that is bereft of that potential, and 2016 isn't looking good either. That by itself increases Winston's value significantly.

But yes, Lovie probably grabs him.

Silly talk in Columbus about "if Cardale Jones leads OSU to the championship, modes he declare for the draft?" They had Adam Schefter on the local radio show and they asked him and he literally said "Cardale who?"

Jesus, does Philly really have enough young talent that they can afford sell their next draft (maybe even the one after that as well) in order to get him?

Video of Chip Kelley seducing Mariota; start it at 0:40; NSFW:

Quick tip, you can cue the video at a particular time by adding &t=0m0s to the end of the URL, just replace the zeros with the actual time. So for your link, you'd want

&t=0m40s

Eagles coach Chip Kelly frequently gushes publicly about his former Oregon Marcus Mariota, and according to one report, Kelly is already plotting privately to acquire Mariota in the NFL draft.

And by "privately", he means "telling a reporter so that the entire world will know immediately"

Matt Miller put out a 7-round mock draft today: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2348680-2015-nfl-mock-draft-matt-millers-post-super-bowl-projections

The Bears picks:

1. Shane Ray, OLB, Mizzou

2. Denzel Perryman, ILB, Miami

3. Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St

4. Josh Harper, WR, Fresno St

6. Travis Racti, DE, San Jose St

7. JR Tavai, OLB, USC

I'll take that just mainly on Ray/Perryman. Can anyone tell me about Smith/Harper?

Smith may be the best FS in the draft (I don't think he is, but seen him argued as such). Good all-around safety, maybe the best in coverage. 15 career INTs. Can probably help out covering a slot WR, but is best deep middle in cover 1 or 3. Not a great tackler or run defender, but typically gets the job done. Very fast. Maybe fastest S in this class.

Forgot about Harper. He's a small-ish, speedy slot type WR that's a high volume pass catcher in a pass happy gimmicky college offense. But I got him a notch below that group. I don't think Harper is as fast, as good a route runner, or as valuable a returner as any of the guys he's going to be grouped with (Philip Dorsett, Tyler Lockett, Devin Smith, Jamison Crowder, Stephon Diggs). All these guys should go in about the 75-125 range in the draft, except for maybe Smith and Dorsett if he runs sub 4.3 at the combine.

Edit: he is listed at 6'1", but is pretty slim.

Crowder goes a few picks ahead of Harper in this mock but is much better.
