Hearing this too. “@Buster_ESPN: Other teams say the Padres have gotten more aggressive in marketing Yasmani Grandal in trade discussions.”

Yes, please.

Maybe Valbuena and a B prospect gets it done.

Does Grandal have more upside than Castillo? Just looking at Fangraphs and it looks like Castillo is currently the better hitter and throws out more runners than Grandal. Is the thought that Castillo and Grandal would platoon? Noticed Grandal's numbers batting from the right side are pretty terrible.

It seems that Valbuena is under appreciated.

Grandal has more offensive upside.

Grandal is the better hitter and is a much better pitch framer.

Although one of the reasons the Padres are shopping him is that their pitchers much prefer Rivera's receiving skills, apparently.

There's ample room to be a lesser receiver than Rivera and a better one than Castillo. Those goal posts are pretty wide.

RT @MLBRosterMoves: The @Braves do not tender 2015 contracts to RHPs Kris Medlen, Brandon Beachy and Gus Schlosser; they are now free agents.

Could take a flyer on Medlen or Beachy, or both.

Hunter back to the Twinks for $10.5 million.

Damn, decent pay day for the old man. I wouldn't have minded him in LF, for 6,7 or 8M but 10.5 is more than I thought it would take.

Hunter continues to produce offensive numbers. For a part-time OF and DH with what he's done the past few seasons, that's about the going rate.

i can't imagine how he'd be a fit. he doesn't walk enough, which contradicts the FO's statements about wanting to improve OBP. he's a lousy defender. he mashes lefthanded pitching. basically he seems like welington castillo with more power and worse defense.

Yeah, Rosario is a poor man's Castillo, no real fit with the Cubs.

Heyman is saying Andrew Miller is close to a 4/40 deal. Likely between Dodgers and Yankees

Jesus Christ.

Michael Saunders to the Blue Jays for J.A. Happ

Boy it would've been really, really, really nice to get Saunders for Wood.
