Trestman strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't let meatball crap like that bother him and he'd go out and get the best guy available.

Don't know much about Richard but I am intrigued by that Seahawks defensive coaching tree.

Does Trestman and Ryan have any sort of a prior connection? Assistant coaches usually are picked cause they have good working relationships with the head coach. Not always, but a lot of the time.

6 safeties on the roster. Guessing Conte is out this week at least. Also wonder with the 2 LBs signed to the practice squad if that's not bad news for McClellin and/or Bostic.

Inexcusable on offense. Before the season, you tell anyone Bears are 14th in defense after 5 weeks, you're assuming, what, 4-1, maybe 5-0?

 

And how does Joe DiCamillus still have a job? They seriously can't return a kick to the 20, let alone make a positive impact. What a disaster.

Are the Bears making more practice squad moves this year or am I just noticing them more?

The beat writers keep talking about the bottom of the roster churn, so I assume it is actually more than usual. It certainly appears that way to me.

Adam Hoge was on The Game this afternoon and mentioned that early word is that Conte's concussion wasn't too severe. (the rest is him speculating, not anything the Bears have said) Don't be shocked if he's out there Sunday despite 2 concussions in 45 days.

God. This game feels like a 4 quarter complete meltdown dumpster fire a-bomb implosion of nuclear proportions. What makes it even worse is to see/hear about how Hester/Carimi/potentially Weems get 'revenge.'

Good. I'm assuming McManis is back this week and will get first shot, but I'd guess Vereen has been getting reps there the last 2-3 weeks. I'd play them both.
