Would Oakland or Jacksonville or Miami or Buffalo give him a head coaching job first? Those teams have crappy offenses and that's something Rex can't fix.

Atlanta could be a good fit for him if Smith gets bounced, offense is in place already

I don't see the owner wanting a Rex type of coach, but I think he would be a good fit

Yeah, i was trying to think of a reason why Rex just didn't work there for me in my head. But I couldn't come up with any. Something about it just doesn't work right to me. I could see Oakland being a good match. He could get some players out there to want to play for him. He has worked with young QBs. I don't think Jacksonville has a new coach for a while. I really like Bradley there.

I can't imagine Bradley is going anywhere, no matter how bad Jacksonville started this season.

I'd rather be DC of the Bears than head coach of the Raiders unless they move to L.A.

I still think Trestman is on the hot seat. Rex as head coach next year? Could Kromer be OC and actually call plays? I know he is OC now, obviously just a formal title.

I think 7-9 or better and there's no chance Trestman is gone unless he loses the locker room or something.

But not making the playoffs this year will result in replacing coordinators and a playoffs or gone ultimatum for next year.

As for the game, I just don't feel good about this one. I think the Bears *can* win it, but I'm predicting doom and gloom

Falcons 34

Bears 27

Briggs officially out on Sunday. something open restaurant something something

Shea and Bostic are both doubtful. This could be scary

Not sure where you saw this, I'm seeing Shea as OUT and Bostic as questionable:

#Bears OUT vs #Falcons: Briggs, Bushrod, McClellin, Boggs, Dixon; QUES: Bostic, McManis; PROB: Conte, Garza, Ratliff, D.J. Williams

I could have heard it wrong but it was on the last update from one of the sports talk stations. Maybe ESPN?

Ok Nevermind on Bostic. Michael C Wright says the likely Bears starting LBs Sunday will be Bostic, Christian Jones and DJ Williams

Falcons 37, Bears 24. This is going to be ugly for the defense. Atlanta's not a great team, but this is a horrible matchup for the Bears.

Trestman isn't going to be on the hot seat in year two.

Bostic or Jones on the weak side? [expletive]. This team is a disaster health wise and it's only 5 games in. That's the sucky part. There will be more injuries and probably more serious ones. Only 1 on long-term IR.

Bears finally hang 30+ this time, we'll do whatever the [expletive] we want to against this garbage front seven.

Hold Atlanta under 35 and I think we take this. Obviously a pretty tall task though.

I think much like the SF game, they'll surprise:

Bears 38

Falcons 34

Steve Wyche said the exact opposite

I don't know who Steve Wyche is, but apparently he didn't watch the Bears/Packers game. The only strong passing team we've played this year basically eviscerated the secondary.

He's one of the hosts of NFL AM on the NFL Network. On the radio a lot here in Atlanta.

The Falcons strength in their WRs is the strength of the Bears defense with their corners. The Falcons can't run the ball, so the Bears can focus on attacking Ryan. There are no good matchups for the Falcons on defense.

Fair. But the Packers didn't run it well and neither did the Panthers and they both still beat the Bears. And, while the corners are the strength of the Bears, Nelson and Cobb destroyed them and Jones/White are as good, if not better.

The Falcons D does suck and that's where the Bears have hope. I just don't trust the Bears to score 35 points to win a game right now. They can't stop turning the ball over.

He coached Cinncinati back when Boomer Esiason was QB. But he's right, Atlantas D will have a very hard time with Jeffery, Marshall, Forte, and Bennett. I hope

that would be sam wyche

Ohhhh that's right. It really just proves I don't really give a [expletive] about the Bangles anyway.
