If we are going by the Fangraphs depth charts projections, after the Lester signing, the Cubs are projected as the 2nd WC in the NL.

 

Playoff teams:

 

AL

Mariners (ALW Champs)

Tigers (ALC Champs)

Red Sox (ALE Champs)

Blue Jays (AL WC1)

Angels (AL WC2)

 

NL

Dodgers (NLW Champs)

Cardinals (NLC Champs)

Nationals (NLE Champs)

Pirates (NL WC1)

Cubs (NL WC2)

 

 

 

Keep in mind, this is without including any projection for Kris Bryant (but then doesn't include other team's prospects as well).

 

It does include Kris Bryant. It didn't used to, I think they added him yesterday and that's what pushed us over the top.

 

Either way, that's so freaking cool.

 

You are correct, which only means we can probably put even more stock into it. Pretty exciting stuff.

I don't think that will be a problem. 100 pages in inevitable.

 

I kind of want the Cubs to play Baseball Mogul right now. Trade for Montero? Accepted. Lester? Signed. Shields? Done. McCarthy? Check. Random Loogy? Fine. Trade quantity for Upton? Yes.
