Yeah this year has clouded the fact that their core group really hasn't met expectations. Obviously Cain was a great find, and maybe the others will step up, but I can see this team winning 70 games next year before them winning 90.

It came out that he was injured. Yost wanted to start him Game 1 of the ALDS, but doctors said he could only go 2 innings at a time. Last night he wouldn't have been better than any of the guys who pitched the last 5+ innings. Could argue to start him over Guthrie, I guess.
