I wonder what the longest recorded save in World Series history is?

Not that it really matters, but I'm second guessing myself whether this is even a save situation. Since the starter didn't go 5 innings, would Affeldt get the win and Bumgarner the save? Or would Bumgarner simply get the win?

if he came out after 4 innings and someone else blew the game, i'd say give it to him, but it's hard to imagine him winning the series MVP after blowing the game in the 9th inning.

 

perez and infante have pretty good series numbers, so if either of them does something positive in the 9th inning to help the royals win, maybe they could be the choice.
