So Russell and Soler git the day off after 2 days with an off day to follow?

And Russell just missed a couple of days with the move from the As org to the Cubs. Odd timing.

Not exactly uncommon to give a player an day off the day before the team has an off day for two days of rest.

Yeah, my biggest issue was the 2-days off after just 2 days of playing. But I ultimately don't care. Hamstring issues for both and they'll get plenty of ABs the rest of this year and maybe in the AFL for both.

Almora has his BA up to .280 and OPS creeping toward .700. Pretty impressive, considering that a little over 2 weeks ago, he was was in danger of having his Core Four membership revoked.

Baez doesn't learn names of people OPSing under .700.

and OBP above .300. Pretty soon he might be hitting .300 with a .315 OBP Shawon Dunston-style.

Why the [expletive] is he playing a game at 6:30 in the morning

Did he get a Memento-like tattoo for himself in April?

Almora finished 2/3 with 2 singles in Game 1, but is currently 0/3 in Game 2.

McKinney finished 0/2 with a BB and no Ks in Game 1, and is currently 1/1 with a BB in Game 2 (dude certainly seems to have a decent amount of plate patience).

Javy 1st pitch bunt out back to the pitcher in the 9th inning of a tie game. UGH!

Bryant's 0-4 though with 2 Ks.

The other 2 AB's were both really well hit, at least.
