I also posted a gif of Rogers Hornsby, a pic of an executed civil war soldier, and a random picture of Aramis Ramirez. Care to speculate what deep seeded point I was trying to make by posting those?

lol we can probably speculate i guess

If we were playing Family Feud and the category was "things that give OMC a boner" and "beautiful women" was already taken, "dead Union soliders" would have been my next guess.

I would quit the game.

I have to admit, my first reaction this morning when I saw it was that it was in poor taste. And now I see it's no longer there.

One of the few (only?) legitimate soccer bars in Milwaukee, Nomad, built their own favela adjoining the bar for the games. A bunch of people lost their [expletive].

The bar is donating some of their profit during the world cup to a Brazilian charity. Not sure if that was planned before the outrage (probably not).

So happy I didn't hear any vuvuzelas today

The vuvuzelas were awesome in person.

I'm committed to my every post in this thread being how I was at the finals last time. You know, in SA.

Yeah I'm sure well-intentioned but a little tone deaf.

What is the little half-circle at the top of the box for? I never thought about it before.

The opposing team has to be at least 10 yards from a direct free kick and a PK is a direct free kick. Players also have to be outside of the 18-yard box on a PK so that arc is drawn to show where 10-yards away is for those spots outside of the 18-yard box which are closer than 10 yards. The only time it matters is during a PK.

I only spent a summer in Milwaukee for an internship...do they still have The Safehouse? I thought that was fun.
