Soccer does not exist to impress you. I don't care.

Would you really argue that this is a better SPORT than baseball or football?

Baseball is a completely terrible sport with so much variance and luck as to render it absurd. If you don't grow up with it, it's unwatchable.

You are in the correct thread.

Yep. As evidence I present the fact that through the first half of one of the biggest USA soccer games in 4 years there are only like 2 pages of content, even from you soccer guys. Because there's nothing to talk about!!! Sport is a snooze fest 98 percent of the time.

I hate soccer so I'm going to crap on a thread about soccer! Edgy!

Hey viewers, through the first half we only have one highlight we can show you.

Do you really have to be one of the assholes who starts this stupid debate every four years? And in this thread? Who cares if it's "better" than football or baseball? People are enjoying watching it.

I'm sorry about that. I'll look down from the TV and post more on my phone in the second half, just for you.

Yeah, it's weird. Almost as if people are watching the game.

It is pretty riveting stuff, the guys running back and forth and all that. Eyes are glued to the tube.

Question: if someone had scored during the extra time at the end of the first half what minute would it go down in the stat sheet? Since the time went back to 45:00 at half I'm just confused at to how that is scored.

borrowed from real soccer thread:

Brooks is the same idiot who missed a club game because of pain caused by a back tattoo he got.

Where is the line drawn between a change of possession foul vs a yellow card? Intent?

It's severity more than intent. There isn't a line that gets crossed, so it's subjective.

If it was in the 2nd minute of extra time, it'd look like "45' +2"

So is intent involved in a straight up red card?

Kinda, it's real difficult to get a red without intent, but if the foul was flagrant enough and/or killed a clear scoring chance, you could still get one without it.

And yet, so far from that.
