Yeah, I mean I'd want Wade to perform well to help the Bulls, but I really can't [expletive] stand that dude.

Considering how much money Wade has left on the table, and the fact that it only takes one stupid team to get squirrely, I have to imagine he'll be looking to get paid.

I could see Dallas grabbing him. Maybe the Clippers find a way.

Soooo...apparently Marc Stein just said not to be surprised if the Bulls try to get Melo AND Wade????

Dear god do this garpax. Since we don't have enough money for melo by himself much less wade who will be offered a max by miami.

We will learn to love his flops dirty play and watching him do tht shot fake lean into defenders.

I mean, there is a LITTLE part of me that is intrigued to see if Wade has 1 or 2 more "F You LeBron" seasons in him that could come in handy for the Bulls. The other 90% wants to see him ride it out on a series of awful Heat teams.

Grives Vasquez was just signed for 7 mil a year for two years. I would absolutely take wade on a sizable contract. If you hate him you want him on the bulls rather than going to New York or Dallas and being good. He just put up a 19 PER in 20 playoff games while injured. He's declining but he's not done. [expletive] Vince carter was somewhat effective for the mavs and he's like 50.

Stephen A Smith on ESPN 1000 saying that as of 90 min ago that Carmelo is pulling his hair out about this and hasn't made a decision, but that Chicago is absolutely in this.

Smith saying that he still doesn't think Melo leaves money on the table, but one of the thoughts is that he signs a 2 year deal and then re-ups for the max after that.

The Chicago Bulls are gauging interest with free agent Dwyane Wade, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

This is a Woj report, so I don't doubt its legitimacy. Doesn't mean Wade wouldn't still sign with Miami, though.

Good point. They certainly aren't reporting Wade signing anywhere on ESPN. In fact, they were just discussing whether he would be a good fit for the Bulls.

Speaking of ESPN, Linda Cohn's boobs grew 3 sizes overnight

Mark Jones from ESPN says Wade isn't interested in coming back to Chicago, and just sold his Chicago home.

If Bosh returns to Miami, that makes sense

Some details coming out now for a Melo deal with the Bulls. 4 year deal around $17M starting with ETO after year 2. Thought being he opts out after year 2 and signs a max. Still has protection incase of injury.

This is what I always thought made the most sense if Melo is so concerned over money.

Sign. Me. Up.

Pau just turned down 2/20 from the Lakers and evidently will make his decision soon. We can't sign him BEFORE Melo, right?

Boozer amnesty/S&T has to happen to get Melo and only way to get Pau too is either the MLE if Melo came via S&T or with a Taj trade. Correct?

He has an entirely different skill set from boozer and is a better compliment to Rose and Melo. He has an outside game, is a better passer and shot blocker, and is still a decent enough rebounder (Boozer is a bit better overall).

Boozer PER's over last 4 seasons: 18.0, 19.7, 17.1, 14.4

Gasol: 23.3, 20.4, 16.7 (injured all but 30 games), 19.3

Boozer TS%: .542, .549. .510, .489

Gasol: .589, .547, .512, .522

Boozer TRB%: 17.6, 16.1, 17.4, 16.8

Gasol: 15.6, 15.6, 14.0, 16.4

Boozer Block%: .7, .9, .8, .8

Gasol: 3.3, 2.6, 2.7, 3.5

Gasol is better, significantly so in several categories. Moreover, he is clearly not declining as fast as Boozer and therefore can be easily traded next offseason due to his expiring contract (reports are that he is getting a two year deal).

I certainly agree with that, but I don't see how there is any way for the Bulls to sign Gasol and still be in the running for Carmelo. They apparently feel they aren't getting Carmelo and are moving on to Plan B.

Look at some of the deals guys are getting. Pau commands a decet paycheck and te bulls will be giving him one. He's apparently being pursued by the Spurs and the Thunder which tells me teams think he can still produce.

If the offseason ends up being Mirotic Pau McDermott and Stephenson I'm pretty happy.
