we seem to have cooled on him quite a bit and started focusing more on other options, so i'd imagine the staff is reading between the lines there

he's really good, but i would have loved most the novelty of a lefty-shooting PG...don't seem to see many of those

He's awesome, but probably not a one and done type because of size. Perfect college guard. Really wish we could land him.

Meh, the guy standing there has to be really tall for that to be much more than a 36" vertical. Not that that's anything to sneeze at.

It's being reported as 44". But that was by his agent, so...who knows.

So, Scout dropped Charles Matthews to #48 in their latest rankings. Am I the only one who bets he doesn't end up at UK?

What was he previously, like 15?

Aaron Jordan in that list at all?

Yeah he was top 20. No Jordan didn't make the list. DJ was #38 though.

Wow, 38 for DJ...I was/am still pretty down on him from his Junior year production.

With Hill and Nunn proving they can score at the Big10 level it's nice to know DJ won't have to. Just do lots of athletic things and play good D.

It was odd to see how Simeon was using Williams. Him playing the point guard though should only help him develop his game, but definitely limited his offense in high school. Sounds like he turned it up in AAU though.

AJ has been killing it in AAU, granted I am not sure on how great the competition is that he is playing, and I thought he would move up. Oh well, I am still very excited about him.

Me too because Groce will actually know how to use him.

Stauskas could have played for Weber and been terrible.

We are [expletive]. [expletive] you Rashad.

You should just volunteer to give us that title.

I stay out of college basketball discussions here because this is obviously Big 10 country and I'd be an idiot to rile everyone here up. I'd be the [expletive] village idiot. I care way too much.

This is the product of Doherty and his lack of recruiting knowledge. We stay away from problem kids for the most part. We just pass on them. Because there's going to be someone else that wants to play for us. This was a Doherty mistake. But it was also an admin mistake. All that needed to be done here was give the [expletive] some sort of cushy job and this [expletive] doesn't come out. We all know it happens everywhere. But our [expletive] idiots were way too cocky and backed him into a corner. And he's talking. It's what we deserve on multiple levels, ignoring the fact that its illegal to begin with.

Our higher ups have totally thought we were immune to the NCAA for far too long. This is a total shock to these assholes. No idea what the end game is here, but I'm going to be hating it, that's for sure.

ok, thanks for the update that nobody asked for ever, davell. though, i'm glad to hear that williams is not to blame, not that anyone here cares, just doherty.

in completely different and more midwestern-relevant news, the smoke on the Jawun Evans front is starting to point to Illinois.

I'm not getting excited until he commits.

As for Williams, lol at him being innocent. Who exactly sat up the graduation payment plan at Kansas? Oh yeah, Roy Williams.

I'm not a fan of Roy. I place THIS blame solely on Doherty though. Roy would have stayed away from him, as he has other recruits that may wind up being trouble. Under ZERO circumstance do I think he or anyone else remotely successful in D-1 basketball runs a clean program. McCants though, was a problem Roy inherited.

While I think that most programs operate in a shady area, when stuff like this comes out the NCAA has to take a stand and do something. If they don't punish UNC for this, how in the hell can you ever punish any program for academic wrong doing?

If they find it, I agree. And I think they'll find it honestly. But you can't just go take some [expletive] crazy person like Rashad's word for it.

He did allow them to look at his transcripts so this isn't all out of nowhere. I know the rest of his teammates stated they didn't think there was anything to this and they supported Williams. I wonder if they too will open up their transcripts to the public?

The fact that he is a crazy idiot is the most damning thing of all for UNC. Roy saw this, knew what was happening, and was like "I'm good."

The fact that davell is blaming the head coach of the Sudan national team at this point goes to show just how weird and in denial UNC fans are.

Ahhhh, Sulley trying to be a douche? Weird and out of touch, huh? Instead of attempting to be a smart ass, READ what I wrote in my post where you so douchily thanked me for posting something of no interest to you.

Rashad was there when Roy was hired. He was an inherited issue from Doherty. Not sure why that's hard to comprehend. Roy has plenty of [expletive] to take blame on. This isn't one of them.
