Hearing that Pruitt leaving might have more to do with dipping his pen in the company ink (co-eds) while engaged than anything football related. It also places him 180 miles closer to his son, who is still playing HS football in AL.

From all reports, he didn't bother to tell Jimbo, the administration, or the players he was leaving - they found out through media reports and requests.

Sounds like a solid dude ...

Charlie Strong's first letter to players. Not sure how well #5 is going to go over.

Is #5 even legal per the NCAA? Can schools buy out a guy's lease?

where did this come from? It sounds like something a 45-year-old superfan would write, not something an actual coach would put together.

There's very little difference between the mentality of a 45 year old superfan and a typical college coach.

Shoop!

Well yeah, that's the one name I recognize, but I don't follow other teams enough to know who these other guys are or where they came from

Herb Hand was pretty well regarded at Vandy, and he's a twitter favorite of some media folk. That's all I got.

That Shoop was the head coach at Columbia, and they sucked.

Gattis played for the Bears at one point.

8 coordinators? seems a bit...excessive

Sean Spencer must feel like a loser. He's the only assistant on the staff without a coordinator title of some sort.

How many coordinators do most schools have? Or are you just picking on the semantics of job titles?

Anyone know anything about these guys? Who should I be excited about?

Facebook just had profiles on all these guys. It's pretty much all of Franklin's staff from Vandy, plus a WR coach with mostly high school experience

For the first time in the history of college sports, athletes are asking to be represented by a labor union, taking formal steps on Tuesday to begin the process of being recognized as employees, ESPN's "Outside The Lines" has learned.

Ramogi Huma, president of the National College Players Association, filed a petition in Chicago on behalf of football players at Northwestern University, submitting the form at the regional office of the National Labor Relations Board.

So some random DT target canceled his visit to ND this weekend so he could go to Tennessee instead. Tennessee already has 34 commits in this class, so why not try to make it an even 35. If all 35 sign, that brings their 4 year total to 105, which is just a touch over the 85 man limit.
