Ok Butters, I think the Bears can draft DGB in 2015 no matter how low they pick.

No charges filed yet. But this [expletive] guy needs to stop getting caught.

The police quote said he had been released from jail, not that he had posted bond, and went on to say that they didn't think he was involved, so I dont really see why everyone is spazzing out. Other than just another case of a guy being too stupid not to be in a vehicle with a guy selling weed.

He probably sold the guy out to the cops when they said "well i guess you can go to jail for it and throw away your nfl career and millions of dollars."

The butthurt is strong in this piece from VandySports.com about Franklin leaving

http://vanderbilt.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1596399

Even as Penn State officials were announcing their press conference for Saturday, Vanderbilt was working overtime to keep Franklin in Nashville. Though it has not been confirmed, reports have circulated that VU offered Franklin a 10 year, $50 million contract to "Anchor Down" for the long haul.

Franklin, of course, declined. Which really tells you only one thing: It was not about the money.

Those of us who worked around him know why he bailed. Franklin wanted to work where there was already a built-in fan base with a vast stadium. He felt he was a big time coach, and big time coaches coach in big time arenas. To each his own.

It is at least a little sad at how fast this fire burned out. Franklin could have probably played for an SEC title very soon, and with a four school playoff, even a national title game wasn't out of reach.

Slow down there, chief.

i have also seen articles about how franklin would be a great hire for almost every school in the country, except for penn state because of the rape thing. one guy actually bashed usc for not interviewing franklin and then bashed penn state for hiring him.

Word down here is that it was close to a pound.

I'm sure everyone has seen rumors that Alabama is goin after Orgeron for their vacant DL coach position. Apparently Alabama is also interested in LSU's DL coach and if they get him, LSU will go after Orgeron.

Because these schools need even more help with recruiting.

that seems pretty high for Sparty, who loses their whole interior OL and most of their back 7 on defense

I think so also...but MSU rotates OLinemen more than other places, so they do have some experience coming back. Also under Narduzzi MSU's D has re-loaded quite well. More of a system than the sum of its parts. With a better passing game, they should be able to offset most of their losses.

Will Narduzzi be there, or is he getting a HC spot somewhere?

He already turned down UConn. There is a lot of talk of coaching staff staying intact and blah blah blah....I am not stupid though. My guess is he would take the right job.

What job is left for him to take? Barring some scandal I would think anyone who was thinking of firing their coach would've done so by now, so unless he really wants to go to UAB, Vandy's the only risk left.
