Apparently, punching your fiancee unconscious=2 game suspension

What a joke of a League. 4 games for a hit of weed. Knock the crap out of a woman, drag her by her hair and get two games?

On Friday morning’s First Take, Smith said that while he agreed that Ray Rice’s suspension was too lenient, he also tells the female members of his family. “Let’s make sure we don’t do anything to provoke wrong actions.”

“We know they are wrong, we know they are criminal, we know they probably deserve to be in jail,” Smith continued. “In Ray Rice’s case, he probably deserves more than a two-game suspension.”

“But at the same time,” he concluded, “we need to learn as much as we can about elements of provocation, not that there is real provocation, but the elements of provocation, you have to make sure you address it.”

That's gotta be a fire-able offense, no?

If you had told me that one of Smith/Bayless had said this, but didn't tell me who, there's no way I'd have guessed Smith. Unreal.

The legal team for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will argue in a hearing Friday that its client has disputed test results that were caused from second-hand marijuana smoke, according to sources.

So Texas could have three [expletive] teams?

what's wrong with one state having 3 teams?

nothing wrong with it in theory, but SA is like somewhere in the mid-30's in terms of American TV markets, a heavy majority of the metro are huge Cowboys (and Texans) fans already, and the projected stadium needs rennovations (mainly needs about 50 more boxes to be NFL compliant) and is only seen as a temporary home, which means they will need a new stadium in the very near future.

I can think of at least 2 North American cities that would be better fits for an NFL team (LA and Toronto).

They would still be well served to move the Jaguars to a better market

If you really think that's true, you severely underestimate Texas's love of football.
